Sierra Ferguson

Sierra is a therapist-in-training currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Hawai‘i Pacific University, where she also competed as a collegiate volleyball player. After spending a decade living on O‘ahu, she now resides in North Carolina and is honored to support teens and women in the Raleigh/Cary area.

Sierra is passionate about helping adolescent girls and women navigating ADHD, anxiety, autism, disordered eating, self-doubt, and identity-related challenges. With a background as a collegiate athlete, she holds a special interest in supporting individuals who feel pressure to achieve, perform, or “hold it all together”—whether in the classroom, on the field, in the workplace, or simply in their day-to-day lives. She helps clients find space to reconnect, heal, and overcome internal and external barriers to well-being.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. She is especially drawn to approaches that blend acceptance and change—helping clients regulate emotions, build self-awareness, and live in alignment with their values. She believes in the power of the mind-body connection and views movement as a powerful tool for emotional regulation, grounding, and self-expression.

Sierra strives to create a warm, affirming, and collaborative space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported. Her passion for helping others is rooted in her belief that no one should feel alone in their struggles—and that everyone deserves a space to be fully seen, supported, and accepted. She is committed to helping clients build confidence, deepen self-trust, and feel empowered to make meaningful, lasting change.

Sierra offers low-cost services and convenient afternoon and weekend appointments to ensure affordability and accessibility for the Cary community (and virtually throughout North Carolina).

Sierra is an intern and cannot accept insurance.  Sierra offers a sliding fee scale ranging from $20 -$60 per hour. All intakes are a standard $20 regardless of income level.
