Jordan Conklin

Jordan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a passion for supporting clients in optimizing their personal, relational and sexual lives. Originally from South Florida, Jordan obtained her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University and is grateful to be back to her roots (the beach!) and serving individuals and couples in Wilmington.

Jordan specializes in working with clients who are navigating identity exploration, intimacy and sexual health concerns, body image, life transitions, self-esteem, and the complexities of relationships. She additionally works with trauma, anxiety, depression, and trust rebuilding. Jordan is affirming of all identities and relationship constellations, and supports clients as they navigate neurodiversity within self or close relationships. Jordan openly collaborates to create a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore patterns and self-concept with curiosity; a place to gain insight, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself.

Jordan offers a slow, deliberate and exploratory counseling approach focused on creating the space to dig beneath the surface and uncover the unconscious patterns, survival stances, and relational wounds shaping present day experiences. With curiosity, humor, and empathy woven throughout, Jordan utilizes a systemic lens that incorporates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Narrative Therapy, Feminist Theory, Attachment Theory, and Queer theory. Together, Jordan creates a safe space where her clients can show up as their true selves, open up with confidence, and build change that actually lasts.

Jordan offers in office appointments in Wilmington, and virtual appointments throughout the state of North Carolina. High conflict and complex cases may be limited to in-person sessions only.
