Sarina is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University, followed by her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University. Sarina has lived in both the Western and Eastern parts of the United States, but she has currently resided in North Carolina for 10 years. Sarina is excited and thrilled to serve adults, couples and families in the Raleigh area.
Sarina specializes in relationship or couples therapy, supporting those navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, infidelity and emotional disconnection. She helps foster improved trust, deeper emotional intimacy, and more secure and authentic ways of relating, no matter what relationship constellation is seeking help. With training in Discernment Therapy, Sarina supports couples who are facing indecision surrounding parting ways or engaging in couples therapy. Sarina also works with individuals, particularly young adults, who are navigating anxiety, trauma, overthinking, identity exploration, and stressful long-standing relational patterns.
Sarina is especially passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds and those within the LGBTQIA+ community. She affirms nontraditional relationship structures, including ethical non monogamous partnerships, and creates a space where clients feel respected and understood.
Sarina’s therapeutic approach is relational, systemic, experiential, somatic and trauma informed. Rooted in Satir’s Experiential Therapy, Sarina further incorporates Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Gottman Method, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support both emotional depth and practical growth. Rather than focusing only on communication, she helps clients understand the deeper emotional needs, relational experiences, protective patterns, and nervous system responses driving their experiences.
Sarina’s style is warm, collaborative, and direct. She balances creating safety with gently challenging patterns that keep clients stuck, helping them build more connected and intentional relationships. With easy online scheduling, she looks forward to walking this meaningful journey with you!
