She works with pre-teens/teens (ages 10+), adults, couples, and families, with a focus on relational trauma, attachment, and healing through safe, supportive connection.

Emily specializes in supporting clients navigating relational trauma, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, emotional and behavioral challenges, self-harm, life transitions (including adolescent challenges, blended families, divorce, and parenting/co-parenting), narcissistic abuse recovery, and traumatic experiences within high-control or religious environments. She is also an advocate for neurodivergent teens and adults and enjoys helping clients recognize their strengths and develop a more secure sense of self.

Her approach is attachment-focused and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based modalities including TF-CBT, EFIT, DBT-informed skills, and IFS-informed parts work to support emotional regulation, relational healing, and lasting change. She is currently completing EMDRIA-approved EMDR training and provides EMDR therapy under ongoing consultation.

For pre-teen and teen clients, Emily incorporates Synergetic Play Therapy to support emotional expression in developmentally appropriate ways while partnering closely with parents to strengthen regulation and connection at home.

For couples, Emily uses attachment-based (EFT) and Gottman (level 2 trained) interventions to improve communication, navigate conflict, heal after relational ruptures or betrayals, increase intimacy, strengthen co-parenting, and understand how attachment patterns and past trauma impact their relationship. She is also a Prepare/Enrich facilitator for those seeking brief but meaningful support for dating, engaged, or married couples.

As a trained Reunification Therapist, Emily provides specialized family therapy services to support parent-child reconnection, repair disrupted relationships, and promote healthier family functioning aligned with reunification goals or parenting plans.

Emily believes healing happens through an authentic, attuned therapeutic relationship. She takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs, values, and goals.
