Laura Culpepper
Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in North Carolina. With an academic foundation in clinical counseling (MSW from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), Laura is passionate about supporting individuals of different neurotypes and personalities in navigating life’s challenges and feeling a sense of self love, hope, and healthy functioning.
Laura specializes in working with adults who have sensory processing sensitivities or are Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), empaths and intuitives, and those struggling with codependency, chronic pain/illness, autism/neurodivergence, interpersonal relationship concerns, family conflict, work stress, anxiety/panic, depression, personal development goals, identity/sense of self struggles, difficult life transitions, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Whether it is stress, overwhelm, needing to make a daunting change, or life just being life, Laura aids in providing tools and support in a compassionate environment to help each individual on their unique journey.
With a focus on compassion, understanding and empowerment, Laura uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, psychodynamic principles, and other therapeutic approaches adapted to each client’s strengths and tailored to their specific therapeutic needs. She is passionate about supporting adults of all ages and stages, as life presents its hardships and we truly are not meant to do it alone.
Providing both virtual and in-person appointments, Laura strives to create a therapeutic space that is warm, nonjudgmental, compassionate, inclusive, accessible, and culturally competent.
