Allison Disimile
Allison Dismile is a therapist-in-training in the Marriage and Family Therapy master’s program at National University. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University and experience as an elementary school teacher, she brings a wealth of knowledge and empathy to her practice.
Allison is specializing in working with couples and families who are impacted by conflict, anxiety, stress, grief, difficult life adjustments, communication challenges, family of origin stressors, and dating/premarital challenges.
Allison is passionate about empowering couples and families to address relational hurdles and overcome challenges with compassion and clarity. Utilizing solution-focused, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapies, she creates a safe space for meaningful dialogue and growth. Through a collaborative and client-centered approach, she helps her clients find solutions and gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and the challenges they are facing. Together, we’ll unfold your story and work toward transformative solutions.
Allison offers low-cost services and convenient afternoon appointments to ensure affordability and accessibility for the Wilmington community (and virtually throughout North Carolina). She is passionate in supporting relationships of all types. With a calm, nonjudgmental, and empathic presence, Allison strives to create a safe haven for clients to work through the chaos that life, relationships, and mental health can create.
Allison is an intern and cannot accept insurance. Allison offers a sliding fee scale ranging from $20 -$60 per hour. All intakes are a standard $20 regardless of income level.
