Sarah Williams
Sarah is a master’s level counselor (pending NC licensure) who graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Counselor Education specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sarah provides individual counseling services to adults and adolescents. Sarah aims to help individuals navigate their lives emotionally and mentally, create a sense of safety in their body, while also recognizing the social and cultural obstacles that may impact them.
Sarah is the ideal therapist for you if you are asking the question: why do I think, feel, or act like this? If you are wanting to dig deeper into better understanding yourself, gain perspective, and want to learn more about confronting your patterns, working with Sarah could be a good fit. Through active listening and understanding, Sarah aims to create a nonjudgemental and supportive environment to explore concerns.
Sarah specializes in working with those facing anxiety, body image struggles, eating disorder recovery, depression, and trauma. As a queer person herself, Sarah is dedicated to helping those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sarah takes a holistic approach to counseling and utilizes various models in her work including but not limited to acceptance and commitment therapy, feminist therapy, person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and somatic therapy. Sarah has also studied and utilized the Enneagram for a decade and can incorporate this tool to further explore core beliefs and unconscious motivations if clients are interested.
Sarah has a passion for helping individuals create a sense of belonging and meaning in their lives. Sarah champions clients working to achieve their goals while also providing care during life’s challenges, helping them take steps to have a better relationship with themselves and with others.
