  • Interns: Our clinical interns offer low cost services ranging from $20-$60 per hour, based on family income and household size. Interns hold small caseloads and receive weekly supervision as they work to complete their master’s degree and clinical residencies.
  • Licensed Therapists: Each licensed therapist offers reduced fees of $100/intake and $85 per follow up session. Reduced fee spots are limited. Please contact you preferred therapist directly to inquire about any reduced fee slots they have available.
  • Yes, our licensed clinicians are in network with most Aetna and BCBS plans, including BCBS PPO plans, Blue Value, Blue Advantage, Blue Options, Aetna SHP, Aetna CVS plans, and Aetna commercial plans. We are NOT in network with Blue Home, Blue Local, or Blue Medicare.
    • Please verify our practice (NPI 1417355561) is IN-NETWORK with your plan before scheduling your appointment. Due to errors with the provider portals, we may not be able to determine our network participation with your plan until a claim is billed and processed.
  • Our licensed clinicians are out-of-network with all other insurance plans, including Cigna, UBH, Tricare, Medicare, Blue Home, etc. We will submit claims for you (when able) or will provide you with a Super Bill that you can submit to your insurance provider in order to use your out-of-network benefits.
  • Your insurance company determines your coverage and rates. You can check your member responsibility for service codes 90791, 90837, 90847, and 90846 in order to avoid financial surprises.
  • Calling the mental health line on the back of your card can help clarify your coverage. Some helpful questions to ask are:
    • Does my plan cover the following service codes: 90791, 90837, 90847, 90846, and 90834?
    • Do I have a copay? If so, what is my mental health copay?
    • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is my deductible amount and will have I a coinsurance amount after the deductible is met?
    • Does my plan cover telehealth services from all providers who do I have to go through a specific portal (i.e. Teledoc / MDLive)?

No!

  • Service Codes and Diagnoses. Your counseling is usually covered if you meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis and have a treatment plan guiding your counseling services. Even then, not all service codes and diagnoses are covered due to plan-specific exclusions.
  • Virtual Coverage. Your insurance may or may not cover virtual appointments, as some plans require you to receive services through an insurance-specific portal (i.e. MD Live, Teledoc, etc).
  • Medical Necessity. Some of our services do not require a diagnosis and are not “medically necessary” in the eyes of insurance, such as Two-Day Therapy Intensives, the Prepare-Enrich Assessment, and various workshops we offer. Please visit our services tab to read more about these other services and their related costs.
  • Missed Appointments. Your insurance will not cover appointments that you do not attend; therefore, you are responsible for the full late cancelation or no-show fee.
  • Primary and Secondary Insurance Coverage. If you are covered by two different insurance companies, your insurance may not cover your sessions if they are listed as your secondary insurance carrier (you will need to determine which one is your primary insurance, and which one is your secondary insurance. Your sessions must be processed by your primary insurance FIRST).

Our two-day therapy intensives for couples and families starts at $3,600. There is an extra $500 per day for weekends. This package includes two therapists dedicating over 20 hours to supporting you and your relationship(s).

This is not a medically necessary service, and it is not used to treat a mental health diagnosis. As such, insurance does not cover the two-day intensive.

For those who are dating, engaged, or married, the Prepare-Enrich Assessment specifically examines the strengths and growth areas of your relationship. The cost of the initial appointment and up to 8 follow up sessions is priced at $100/session. There is a one time fee of $35 per couple (issued by the prepare-enrich company) when you log in to complete your initial assessment. This is not a medically necessary service, and it is not used to treat a mental health diagnosis. As such, insurance does not cover this service.

Yes.

When scheduling, you reserve an hour of your therapist’s time that is then unavailable to other clients. As a result, you are responsible for paying for any appointment canceled or rescheduled with less than 24-hour notice. After 10 minutes, your appointment is considered a no-show and will need to be re-scheduled. Sorry, but there are no exceptions to this.

  • Late Cancellation $85
  • No-Shows: $100
  • Late Cancellation with Intern: $10 : No Show with Intern: $20

Payments for missed appointments or late cancellations are normally collected with your credit card on file (and no later than at the next visit). Please note that missed appointments or late cancellations are not reimbursable by insurance.

When you reserve your appointment time, you will receive an immediate e-mail confirmation. You will also receive two reminder emails leading up to the 24 hour cancelation window.  Use these e-mails to cancel or reschedule your appointment without any financial responsibility and make sure you get the confirmation email that your appointment has successfully been canceled/rescheduled.

If you are unable to cancel with at least 24 hours notice, please contact your therapist directly to notify them of your need to late-cancel in order to prevent a no-show fee.

Effective 1/1/2022, the No Suprise Act requires all healthcare providers (including mental health therapists) to provide a Good Faith Estimate if you are un-insured or choose not to use your insurance to cover your services.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
