Emily Rowe
Emily Rowe holds a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She specializes in helping pre-teens/teens (ages 10 and older), adults, couples (Level 2 Gottman trained), and families who are struggling with personal or relational challenges. Emily is passionate about helping individuals & families find healing that leads to thriving, not just surviving.
Emily has experience with a variety of challenges: anxiety, OCD, depression, emotional/behavioral struggles, self-harm, life transitions (adolescent challenges, blending families, divorce, parenting/co-parenting, etc.), trauma (physical/emotional/sexual/religious), grief/loss, and relational challenges. Having counseled diverse populations, Emily values your cultural context, and she has specialized training to integrate your values & beliefs into the therapy session. She’s experienced with, and is an advocate for, neurodivergent teens/adults and loves to empower them to recognize their strengths!
For pre-teen/teen clients, Emily pulls from Synergetic Play Therapy to help teens communicate their emotions, experiences, and struggles in a way that feels most natural to them. She provides a non-judgmental, confidential space for teens while still partnering with parents/guardians to empower them to support their teen at home. She loves walking alongside families to help everyone in the family system support each other.
For couples, Emily uses the evidenced-based Gottman method to help with effective communication, improving conflict patterns, rebuilding trust, increasing intimacy, and co-parenting. She loves helping couples break through stuck points, feel heard, and rebuild connection and intimacy.
Emily values the healing power of a therapeutic relationship that is founded in authenticity. Her approach is individualized with a client centered, strength based approach that matches your needs with the appropriate therapy to achieve your goals for therapy.
