Emily Rowe
Emily Rowe holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She specializes in working with pre-teens/teens (10+), adults, couples, and families facing personal and relational challenges. Emily is passionate about helping individuals and families not just survive but truly thrive.
Emily specializes in working with a variety of challenges: anxiety, depression, grief/loss, emotional/behavioral struggles, self-harm, OCD, life transitions (adolescent challenges, blending families, divorce, parenting/co-parenting, etc.), trauma (including religious and narcissistic abuse), and relational challenges. She’s experienced with, and is an advocate for, neurodivergent teens/adults and loves to empower them to recognize their strengths.
For pre-teen and teen clients, Emily incorporates Synergetic Play Therapy to help them express emotions and experiences in a natural way. She creates a non-judgmental, confidential space while also partnering with parents to strengthen support at home.
For couples, she uses the Gottman Method to improve communication, navigate conflict, restore trust after ruptures or betrayals, increase intimacy, strengthen co-parenting, and understand how attachment and past traumas impact their current relationship. She helps couples break through stuck points, feel heard, and restore connection.
Emily believes in the healing power of an authentic therapeutic relationship. She takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, integrating the client’s cultural values/beliefs and tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Emily provides in person services at our Wilmington location, as well as telehealth throughout the state of NC. Please reach out to Emily directly to inquire about reduced fee options.
